Well, all of my big 3rd birthday party plans fell through this year and we ended up having a Thomas the Train birthday party at Ikea of all places! Tyler loved it though and had a great time. They played in the play area, had a special lunch on Thomas plates and cups (the only thing he was sure he just had to have at his party) and got a few new trains. He was pleased and at this age, it was just perfect for him. I think Haley and Cody were concerned about him not having a big party just as much as I was, but we were all pleasantly surprised to see how satisfied he was with so little. I think we all learned a little lesson from Tyler this year.

It was a wonderful day and evening, we celebrated with a cake that night when Daddy got home. Tyler called it his "Happy Birthday Fire Cake" he was more than happy to blow out the fire. He loved the cake and for whatever reason just had to fit the whole piece in his mouth, twice. Silly little boy.
